Medical Editorial Board
Quick answer
The Curaventa Medical Editorial Board sets the standards our medical content must meet and reviews clinical pages before and after publication.
What the board does
The board reviews pages about treatments, conditions, tests, symptoms and costs for medical accuracy, safety information and plain language. It checks that risks, recovery times and alternatives are stated fairly and that nothing on a page promises a result.
- Reviews new clinical pages and major updates
- Checks that facts match current clinical guidance and cited sources
- Flags pages that need correction, and confirms the fix
- Re-reviews key pages at least once a year
How a page is reviewed
A writer drafts the page from cited sources. A reviewer with training in the relevant specialty checks it. Changes are made, and the page shows the reviewer and the date of the last review.
Who can join
Board members are registered medical practitioners with specialist qualifications and active clinical experience. Members declare any links with hospitals listed on Curaventa, and do not review pages about a hospital they work for.
Board members
Members will be listed here with their specialty, qualifications and registration details.
